Startup Bangladesh-iDEA is going to achieve “2019 ASOCIO ICT Award”.

Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project of Bangladesh Computer Council under the ICT Division is going to achieve international recognition through ASOCIO Awards in the category of ICT Education. The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), a grouping of ICT industry associations representing the Asian-Oceania region will give this international honorary award in the ICT Education category to iDEA project. The award will be given at the 2019 ASOCIO-PIKOM DIGITAL SUMMIT to be held on Tuesday, 12 November 2019 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre - CCEC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ASOCIO is currently working in a variety of ways to develop the ICT sector in 20 economies across Asia Pacific. Each year, the ASOCIO International Award is given for special contributions in various categories. This year, Startup Bangladesh-iDEA is going to receive this honor in the category of ICT Education for its special contribution.

 

iDEA project is working to create skilled manpower and entrepreneur through training and mentoring in the ICT sector, besides making a significant contribution to the implementation of Digital Bangladesh. In addition, iDEA Project has been playing a major role in promoting entrepreneurship as well as promoting startup culture in the IT sector in Bangladesh with its Startup Bangladesh banner. Today's young entrepreneurs will lead the world in the future. This award may recognize Startup Bangladesh-iDEA as well as Bangladesh as a global role model in the ICT sector. As a result, the overall activities of digital Bangladesh will be more dynamic, faster and will encourage all to go ahead.

 

Syed Mojibul Haque, Project Director of Startup Bangladesh-iDEA, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to ASOCIO, Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) and Selection Committee of ASOCIO Awards for giving this international honorary award in the category of ICT Education.
